  1. 1

Cut off both the bottom and the handles of each plastic bag so you are left with a rectangle that is open at the top and bottom.

  2. 2

Turn the bag inside out. This is so the ink doesn't stick to your iron.

  3. 3

Cover your ironing board with parchment paper and lay one plastic bag on top.

  4. 4

Layer the plastic bags on top of one another, making sure they overlap by approximately 2 inches. To do this, lay the first bag down and then lay a second bag next to the first, overlapping it by 2 inches. Lay a third bag over the first, overlapping the second by 2 inches.

  5. 5

Continue this process until you have overlapped 10 plastic bags. Cover all of the bags with parchment paper.

  6. 6

Iron the parchment paper with the iron set on medium heat. Keep the iron moving at all times and iron for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Turn the bags and parchment paper over, but do not remove the parchment. Iron again.

  7. 7

Allow the plastic to cool before removing the parchment paper, and use the plastic fabric as you would any other type of fabric.

  8. 8

Measure your body with a tape measure. You will need measurements of your inseam (groin to ankle), outer thighs, the circumference of the thighs and calves, circumference of the arms, neck, chest and hips, the length of the arms and the distance between the collarbone and waist. Write all of these measurements down; they will be extremely important when following the catsuit pattern.

  9. 9

Find a catsuit pattern. offers a free catsuit pattern as well as helpful graphs to use when measuring your body. You could also freestyle sew a catsuit by using just the measurements of your body and cutting the plastic fabric to those measurements. This is a risky move, as you may make a catsuit that doesn't fit you properly.

  10. 10

Sew the catsuit together using a sewing machine and thread. Because you are using plastic fabric, it is best to double stitch all of your seams.
