Sega's Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is the updated GameCube version of the popular Dreamcast adventure game. Players can take control of several different hero and villain characters to explore a vast, colourful world. During game play, players can choose to raise small life forms called "Chao." Players nurture the Chao from birth and train them to develop different skills and characteristics. A few useful actions can help a Chao age and develop to your liking.

Instructions

  1. 1

Locate and open blue Chao boxes to obtain Chao keys. Chao keys enable you to enter a level's Chao garden, where you will find Chao eggs.

  2. 2

Hatch a Chao egg to begin a Chao's life. Speed up the hatching process by petting or throwing the egg.

  3. 3

Spend time in a Chao garden to age the Chao. Time will only pass in a Chao garden when your character is inside it. A Chao year is roughly equal to three to five hours spent in the Chao garden.

  4. 4

Interact with your Chao to develop its skills and characteristics. Pet the Chao with a hero character to develop a hero Chao or with a dark character to develop a dark Chao. Give it small animals or Chaos drives to alter its swimming, running, flying and fighting abilities.

  5. 5

Take the Chao to Chao kindergarten to teach it new skills. Put your Chao in the classroom to learn lessons, or take it to the fortune teller to give it a name.
