How to Change the Time on a 2006 Honda Civic's Clock

Updated March 23, 2017

The Honda Civic saw many changes in 2006, including a completely redesigned interior and exterior. One of the interior changes was a new dash and radio. Changing the time in your 2006 Civic is not difficult; it is, however, different than in earlier models. The clock setting procedure is different for each radio type.

Press the "Setup" button on your touchscreen navigation display (the vehicle must be turned on).

Tap the "More" button on the upper right corner of the display screen. Then, press "Clock Settings".

Press "Clock Adjustment". When the clock displays, press the plus (+) or minus (-) symbol next to "Hour" to adjust the hour; press the plus (+) or (-) next to "Minute" to set the minute.

Press the "Done" button on the bottom right part of the screen to return to the main navigation screen.

Press and hold the "AM/FM" button for a few seconds, until you hear a beep (vehicle must be turned on). Release the button.

Press radio preset "1" to change the hour. Once the correct hour is set, press radio preset "2" to change the minute.

Press "AM/FM" to finalise the changes.

With the navigation system, you can also speak the desired menu, rather than touch it. For example, you can speak "Setup" to enter the Setup menu.
