The chrome rims on your PT Cruiser are plated. This means that if the chrome starts to peel, you'll need to take it to a speciality shop that replates chrome rims. This process can become quite expensive, so you may wish to consider simply replacing the chrome rims. Replacement chrome rims can be purchased from some auto parts stores. However, a shop that specialises in aftermarket wheels will almost always have a wider selection for you to choose from.
