Napkin folding is a quick, easy, and free way to dress up any table setting. You have several different styles to choose from when preparing to fold napkins. A pouch-style napkin fold allows you to slide silverware or decorative touches, such as dried flowers or herbs, into the napkin. You can also slide menu cards into the fold of the napkin, which helps to keep a table neat and organised.

  1. 1

Lay your cloth napkin out in front of you so that it is a square.

  2. 2

Fold the bottom edge of the napkin up 1/3 of the way.

  3. 3

Take the top edge of the napkin and fold it down so that it is about 3 inches from the bottom folded edge of the napkin and overlaps the edge that you folded up in the previous step.

  4. 4

    Flip the napkin over.

  5. 5

Fold the left edge of the napkin over 1/3 of the way. Fold the right edge of the napkin over 1/3 of the way.

  6. 6

Flip the napkin back over and orient it so that you have a pouch at the bottom. Slide your menu card into that pouch.
