How to Keep Your Tablecloth From Sliding Off the Table

Updated April 17, 2017

A tablecloth can add a sense of comfort and style to a home. More than just decor, a tablecloth serves a functional purpose as well. Tablecloths protect the top of your table from the spills, heat, stains and scratches of regular wear and tear. They provide a soft, no-slip surface on which you can rest dishes. But when your table cloth is slipping around, it defeats the purpose of having one.

Measure the size of your table with the measuring tape.

Cut the table padding to the size of the table.

Lay the table padding across the tabletop and cover the rug grip with the tablecloth.

You can substitute the table padding with rug grip or cabinet matting.
