How to remove old stains from tablecloths & embroidered items

Stains are annoying. When you get one on your favourite tablecloth or embroidered item, you must spend time trying to remove it. You can remove old, set-in stains. You will need patience, elbow grease and a reliable cleaning product.

Apply the Shout stain remover directly to the old stain on the tablecloth or embroidered item. According to, Shout works with all washable fabrics.

Rub Shout into the old stain. Using a little elbow grease allows the stain remover to work more quickly. Let the stain remover stay on the stained tablecloth or embroidered item for two to three minutes.

Wash the stain remover out from the tablecloth with hot water.

Place the tablecloth or embroidered item in the washer machine with liquid detergent and wash in hot water. If the tablecloth is white, add bleach into the washing machine when the washing machine indicates it is safe to add bleach.

Repeat this process until the stain is completely removed from the tablecloth or embroidered item.
