How to change PDF to JPEG pictures

JPEG is a compressed graphic format that is widely used to store digital images. JPEG format produces compact files maintaining high image quality. Converting a PDF file to a JPEG image is a convenient way to use a document in a presentation, a Microsoft Office Word file or a website. Adobe Acrobat software has an option to save PDF files in the JPEG format. Alternatively, it is possible to make a snapshot of the of a PDF file page and then save it as a JPEG image.

    "Save As" in Adobe Acrobat

    Open your user account in Windows XP/Vista and click "Start." Click "All Programs" and launch "Adobe Acrobat."

    Click "File" and select "Open." Browse your computer and open the PDF file you need to convert. Click "File" and choose "Save As." Select "JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg)" using the drop-down list box.

    Click the button "Save." If a PDF file consists of multiple pages then each page will be saved as a separate JPEG file.

    Using Snipping Tool in Windows Vista

    Open your user account in Windows Vista and click "Start." Click "All Programs" and launch "Adobe Acrobat."

    Click "File" and select "Open." Browse your computer and open the PDF file you need to convert.

    Click "Start" in the left bottom corner and type." Open "All Programs" and then "Accessories." Click on "Snipping Tool."

    Select the entire page in the PDF file by holding the left mouse button. The release the mouse left button. The snapshot of the selected page will appear in the "Snipping Tool" window.

    Click the menu "File" and "Save As" in the "Snipping Tool" window. Then click "Save" to store the page as a JPEG image. Note that JPEG is a default format in Snipping Tool.

    Scroll down the PDF document to the next page and click the menu "File" and "New Snip" in the "Snipping Tool" window. Then repeat Steps 4 and 5.

    Repeat Step 6 for the rest of the pages in the PDF document.
