How to Replace a Timex Expedition Battery

Replacing the battery in your Timex Expedition watch can be a little difficult. This task can be completed in a matter of minutes with a little preparation and a few tools, There are some tips to follow to get your watch ticking again.

Things you need

  • Precision flat head screwdriver
  • Vice
  • Wood blocks
  • Silicone sealant

Instructions

    Turn the watch face down and locate the arrow on the back of the case.

  2. 2

    Using your flat head precision screwdriver, insert the head into the slot indicated by the arrow.

  3. 3

    Pry gently up the case cover until it "pops" up.

  4. 4

    You will see a round, silver disk. This is the battery. Remove the battery by inserting the screwdriver and popping it out as well.

    Insert the new battery and gently press it into place. Be care to install the battery with the poles correctly oriented.

    Using your silicone sealant, add a small bead around the inside of your case cover. This sealant should be placed on the gasket.

  7. 7

    Replace the case cover with the arrow facing right on the rear of the case. Press down on the cover firmly. If the cover does not stay in place, use a vice with two pieces of wood to press the cover into place.
