Wiper blades are a simple, yet crucial part of your Mazda vehicle. If your wiper blades are scraping, squealing or not doing a good job increasing visibility, it's time to replace them. Wiper blades usually need to be replaced once every 12 months or so, depending on how frequently they are used.

Instructions

  1. 1

Check your owner's manual to find out what type of wiper blade you need. Although all Mazda wiper blades install in the same manner, not all vehicles use the same wiper blade.

  2. 2

Grab the wiper blade arm and lift it up, towards the outside of the vehicle.

  3. 3

Grab the top portion of the wiper blade and push it down to extend the wiper blade sideways.

  4. 4

Examine the mounting location between the wiper blade and the wiper blade arm. Find the "U" shaped clip and squeeze it. Slide the wiper blade down to remove it from the vehicle.

  5. 5

Attach the new wiper blade to the wiper blade arm with the rubber "blade" facing the windshield. Squeeze the clip to to mount it and then release the clip to secure the new wiper blade.
