In manga, anime and even western comics, seductive women dressed as cats seem to creep into the frames of many different stories. Perhaps this is because women in these art forms have a slightly feline quality to begin with and adding even more pronounced catlike features creates a unique visual take on their characters. Famous cat women appear in mainstream comics such as Catwoman in the DC universe and Black Cat who appears in the Marvel Spiderman comics. They also have appeared in video games such as Breath of Fire as well as card games such as Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic: The Gathering.

Things you need
- Black ink pen
- Kneaded eraser
- Art markers
- Pink coloured pencil
Create the basic framework of the cat woman. Use an oval for the head, a rectangular shape that curves up on the bottom line to create a ribcage for the chest area and an upside down triangular shape for the hips. Draw the arms and legs with simple lines; use a circle to denote the knee and elbow joints. Pose the character in a sex way. You can do this by making the hips tilt up slightly on the left hand side and place the left side hand on the character's hips. Draw a cross or a "t" shape on the cat woman's face to mark out the facial guidelines.
Add basic details to the frame. Draw cylinder shapes on the arm and leg lines. Make the upper portions of these cylinders wider at the top than the bottom to create a more feminine look. Connect the ribcage to the hips with two curved lines. Draw the breasts on the ribcage with two half circles. Create a tail with an "S" shaped curved line coming off the left side of the hip.
Draw the eyes with large circles for the pupils and the eyelashes with a half circle. Draw the eyebrows with a curved line above each eye. Create the nose with a sideways triangle shape. Draw the mouth with a curved line below the nose. Create the cat ears with two triangles coming off of the right and left upper sides of the head. Add hair with a curved wavy line around the head.
Add fur to the forearms and calves to make the cat girl appear more cat-like by drawing tiny curved triangular shapes around the areas you wish to add fur. Do this for the tail as well. Create a fur bikini with jagged triangular fur lines around the top and bottom of the chest and hips.
Ink the lines you wish to keep with a black ink pen. Let the ink dry and then carefully erase the pencil guidelines on the cat woman. Color in the pupils black and add a slight shadow under the chin. Color the image with art markers. Use beige for the flesh, grey for the fur, blue for the eyes and yellow for the hair. Add a tiny amount of pink with a coloured pencil to the nose, cheeks and shoulders.
Tips and warnings
- Once you have mastered this drawing you can draw other cat women with different features using the same basic principle.
- Let the ink dry before erasing the guidelines or the image will smudge.
