  • Distilled water
  • Vegetable glycerine
  • Chopped, dried soapwort root
  • Glass pitcher
  • Organic virgin coconut oil
  • Cheesecloth or coffee filters

Instructions

    Boil 4 cups of distilled water in a heavy saucepan. Reduce the heat to simmer.

    Add 4 tbsp of the chopped, dried soapwort root to the water, and simmer for about 20 minutes. Remove the pan of tea from the heat.

    Stir a teaspoon of vegetable glycerine and a tablespoon of organic virgin coconut oil into the tea. Mix it well; cool the natural shower gel for about half an hour at room temperature.

    Stir the shower gel and filter it through cheesecloth or coffee filters into the glass pitcher.

    Allow the shower gel to cool for another half hour. Stir it once more, and pour it into jars. Cap the jars tightly and store them in a cool, dark spot.
