How to Make a Cardboard Boomerang

Boomerangs can be fascinating toys. The act of throwing something and having it come right back to you is a novelty that can provide hours of fun entertainment for children and adults alike. With a little help, kids can make their own boomerangs out of thin cardboard. Provide some materials for decorating their new creation, and then let it fly.

Draw the shape of a boomerang onto an 8-by-11 inch piece of thin cardboard. Each of the three ends should come approximately to the edge of the cardboard.

Cut out the boomerang shape carefully.

Fold along the dotted red lines in the direction of the arrows to help the boomerang fly.

Decorate the boomerang as desired.

Go outside, give it a good throw and watch it come back to you.
