  1. 1

See the Activity Village star templates link in Resources. Print the star templates onto thin card. Use other star templates of your choice if you prefer.

  2. 2

Cut out the stars. On one of the stars, draw a straight pencil line from a point to the centre. On the other star, draw a straight line from one of the five concave vertices to the centre. Cut along these lines.

  3. 3

Decorate your stars on both sides. Use felt pens, crayons, paint, glitter, glitter glue, buttons, ribbon, sequins, fabric or anything else you want to use. Just make sure not to cover the cut lines.

  4. 4

Fit the two cut lines into each other to get a 3-D star when you have finished decorating your stars. Cut a length of string. You will use this to hang the star. Make the string into a loop and sellotape it to a point so the star will hang.
