How to Send Pictures on Facebook to Just One Person

When you want to share photos with all of your friends on Facebook, posting it on your wall is a fast and easy way to do it. The photo will then go out as a "Status Update" and will post in Facebook's live feed for all of your friend's to see. If you want to send a picture to just one person, however, there are a few steps to take to ensure it goes to only one friend.

  1. Type the person's name in the "Search" box at the top of your Facebook page. A drop down menu will appear with your friend's name.

  2. Click on your friend's name. This will bring up that person's wall.

  3. Click on the "Message" button on your friend's wall. Facebook allows users to send private messages to other members that can be viewed through the website.

  4. Write a message to your friend about the photo. You may also leave the message box blank.

  5. Click on the "paper clip" icon below your message. Select a photo from your computer and attach it as a file to send to your friend.

  6. Click on "Send" to send your photo to just this one friend.
