The Canon MF4370DN is a multifunction imageCLASS series printing device released in the second quarter of 2010. Used to print, transmit faxed documents, duplicate, and scan, the MF4370DN is a commendable printer model for both home and commercial use. But, before any of the printer's functions can be used effectively, it must be set-up properly for networking and communication with a computer. The printer has several drivers designated to make all types of print and scan actions work properly. But, the scanner has its own ScanGear driver, which can be extracted and downloaded from the Internet. This driver must be installed to enable all of the scanner's functions.

Go to the Canon MF4370DN printer's home page in your Internet browser.

Click the red and white arrow icon next to the "Select OS" collapsible menu bar.

Scroll through the list of available operating systems, and highlight your computer's system in the data field. The website will redirect to the next page automatically so you can retrieve the printer's software driver compatible for your computer. All of the drivers will be located at the bottom of the page, below the selected operating system.

Find and click the "ColorNetworkScanGear_V271" driver link in the list of drivers for the Canon MF4370DN.

Read and review the Canon software disclaimer at the bottom of the driver's page, and click "I Agree -- Begin Download" to proceed. A pop-up "File Download" box will open over the disclaimer page in the browser.

Click "Run" to begin downloading the ScanGear driver for the Canon MF4370DN scanner's set-up. Then, click "Run" again to bypass any operating system security breaches to begin the installation and set-up.

Click "Next" when the Canon installation Wizard opens. Select all of the "Express" and Recommended Canon setting options to install the scanner driver. Then, click "Finish" on the last installation screen to complete the scanner's installation.
