How to Remove a Bosch Jigsaw Blade
Jigsaw blades become dull with use and sometimes break. When this happens, you need to remove the blade to sharpen or replace it. Newer Bosch jigsaws have a quick release that separates the blade from the jigsaw. Older models require a little more manual effort to remove the blade.
If you need to replace the blade, take it to a home improvement store and look for a blade that inserts in the saw with the same connection as the old blade.

Unplug the Bosch jigsaw power cord from the electrical socket.
Push the blade change button down with your thumb and turn the forward handle counterclockwise three complete times. The blade change button is on top of the forward handle.
Grasp the blade by its sides with your fingers and push the blade up to release the tabs on the blade from the plunger.
Pull the blade free from the jigsaw.
Press the blade ejector lever on the front of the jigsaw to the middle position if your jigsaw has the quick-release mechanism. The blade will fall out of the jigsaw when you engage the ejector lever.
- Installation of new blades is the reverse of removing them.
