  1. Wash the metal chain and clasps to which the chain connects. Simply spraying it clean with a garden hose will work well.

  2. Dry the metal chain and connective clasps with a towel.

  3. Spray the WD-40 lubricant over the body of the chain and connective clasps.

  4. Take care to ensure that all areas where metal pieces meet are completely covered with WD-40. This lubrication and cleaning will ensure the squeaking stops.
