Hi, this is Angie Warner for Pro Beauty at Pro Pilates in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. And today, I'm going to be talking to you about how to do a home care facial in five different steps. First of all, you want to have a cleanser, a toner, an exfoliant, a masque, and a good moisturizer, and some washcloths, and water. And, you have a milky cleanser, because my model's skin is a little bit on the drier side. After you cleanse, you're going to tone the skin. Toning is important for re-balancing the pH of the skin. You're going to exfoliate the skin to buff away the dry, dead skin cells. You want to do a masque for at least 10 minutes to tone and re-texturize the skin, and maybe even absorb some extra oil production that you want to mattify. And, have a good moisturizer to finish with. So, you're going to apply your cleanser. Make sure the skin is all clean and free of any dirt and debris. So, in light, circular movements, really work that moisturizer in. And then afterwards, you're going to take a washcloth that's in lukewarm water, not too hot, so you don't want to over-dry the skin, and just go ahead and remove that. So, now I'm going to get my washcloth and squeeze out the warm water. And, using a warm, moist washcloth is a good way to do a steam at home as well. And, just holding it on as a compress, this is going to help to increase circulation in the skin, give it a nice glow, and open up those pores. So, when we do the exfoliation step, those pores are going to be cleaned out a lot better. The next few steps that you're going to do is to use your toner that's been wetted onto your cotton pad. That's going to help to re-balance the pH of your skin. Next, you're going to apply your masque to help to tone an texturize, and maybe even soak up some of that oil production. And, finish with a very good moisturizer. And, this is Angie Warner for Pro Beauty at Pro Pilates in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
