The appearance of a car floor mat can be restored by first spraying the stains with a degreaser, scrubbing them with a good brush and then using a power sprayer. Bring back the appearance of your car floor mats with help from an auto detail shop owner in this free video on auto detailing.
Hi, I'm Dee Hill with Advanced Detail, and today we are going to learn how to restore the condition of your floor mats. The materials you will need are a brush, some degreaser, and a power sprayer. You can either use a home power sprayer or you can take your mats to the local car wash. What you want to do first is spray the mat with the degreaser, paying attention to any stains that may have accumulated, then you're going to take your brush and give everything a good scrub. Alright, now we're going to power spray this one. Now, I like to power spray until the water running off of your mat is clear, then you know that all of the dirt has come out of it. If your mat has a hole like this one, there's really nothing you can do to restore it. You'll just have to spring for some new mats. This procedure will also work well with your vinyl or rubber floor mats. After you power spray them though, you'll want to dress them with your silicone-based product and put them back in your car. I'm Dee Hill. You are at Advanced Detail, and we have just restored the conditions of our mat.
