Trying to lose belly fat instead of building muscle underneath the stomach is one of exercise's greatest challenges. Work on that flat stomach with advice from a personal trainer in this free video about losing belly fat.
Hello my name is Kevin with Better Body Fitness. I'm the head trainer and MAT Specialist here in Tampa Bay, Florida and today we're going to be talking to you about how to lose belly fat and not build muscle and what you'll need to help you remove some of that belly fat without removing muscle is going to be a type of cardio equipment, so an exercise bike is in the example that we're going to use here, a treadmill or even running outside, and then again, some open area where you can get around and do some active activities. And really, this comes down to one thing, coupled with the correct amount of exercise, but really that one thing comes the calories in versus calories out. And in order to lose that stomach fat or lose fat throughout your body, it becomes all about controlling how much food you put into your body and then in turn how much energy you're expending or calories you're burning. I'm going to run through just a quick little exercise here, a quick little routine you can do to insure that you're burning the maximum amount of calories and to really help you target those core muscles. So what I'm going to have Kristen do is we're going to start off on the bike and Kristen you're just going to be pedaling as hard as you can, you really want to get the heart rate up there. We're just going to go for about ten seconds, good and then what I'm going to have Kristen do is we're going to jump off and I just want you to do jumping jacks. Here we go, one, two, we're just going to do fifteen, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, five more, two, three, four, five, good. Hope back on the bike and what we're doing here. We have a little bit of muscle confusion going on. I want to keep her body guessing at what's coming at it next and really my main focus here is just accelerating that heart rate so we can accelerate the calorie burn throughout the exercise, two, three, four, five, good, jumping jacks, two, three, four, five, good. Back on the bike, here we go, last one, going twenty, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, five more, doing good. Good, go ahead and hop off and jumping jacks, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Great job. So there you go. There's just an idea of something you can do in your workout to make sure that you are burning more calories than you're consuming. Again this has been an introduction or how to tips on how to lose body fat without building muscle.
