In this clip we're going to talk about the proper service procedure for removing and reinstalling your vehicles radiator. In this step we're going to talk about the proper method used in order to break our fan loose, or fan shroud away from the radiator. Now it has two bolts in the top and two retaining clips on the bottom. The clips just look like little V's and the fan shroud slips down inside like so. So we're going to go ahead and remove the top bolts. Rusty. Alright, now I got it broke loose and and finger tight, I'm going to wiggle it out of the hole here, and set this aside for later re-installation, I'll put it right up in my tray, and go ahead and work on the second clip, or second screw for that matter. Typical lefty loosey, righty tighty kind of stuff. Alright, right there. That's the second screw. These are the only screws I have that mount my fan shroud. You may have more located around the shroud; make sure to get them all out. If your fan shroud is not real free you do have more retainers in there that you're going to have to deal with. I'm going to take and slip it out of the radiator, and slide it back. You're not going to be able to remove the fan shroud being that it is sandwiched between the radiator and the fan. You can only take the shroud off once you have the radiator out. That is the proper service procedure for removing your fan shroud from the radiator.
