This segment is on safety. As we are talking about safety this is particular for dove and quail hunting. There are some general characteristics and general facts that you need to know. There are a lot of different hunter education safety courses that everyone can take. Almost every state in the United States and I'm sure in other countries as well have regulations that require some kind course work or studying and some testing to make sure that there is an adequate understanding of the firearm and just basic rules and principles of firearm safety when you are hunting dove and quail. Quail hunting, obviously, you are going to be shoulder to should with other people The quail are going to get up and flush in front of you, sometimes they will flush beside or in back and you always have to know where you are in relationship to everybody else. You need to know that you shoot to your right or this other person shoots to their left and you don't shoot past a certain point. It's always better to be safe than take a risky shot in the general direction of someone. When your hunting dove you need to understand and know that in most of the situations there you are going to be shooting doves that are coming in, but a lot of times as they come in you maybe on the same plain as other hunters so you always want to know where other hunters are in relationship to you. Any weapon you have you always want to know the gun itself. This one is equipped with safeties. This one right here has a top tank safety you slide it forward to shoot and pull it back to be on safe. You never put your finger on the trigger until you're absolutely ready to shoot. You keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. Always treat the gun as if it were loaded and know what is beyond your target. It's always a wise thing to do to treat guns like they are loaded, even if they are not. You always want to be careful of that because a lot of guns have been shot when the shooter didn't think there was any kind of shot in it or any kind of shot gun shell in it. We all know a variety of personalities who hunt and even some who have been in accidents. We always want to be very, very careful when hunting dove or quail with a shotgun.
