This tool is compatible with Windows XP and Vista, and also is compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0 or later versions. This tool is free to use, and can be downloaded from the Microsoft website.
Microsoft Snipping Tool
This is a freeware program, which means you can download and manipulate it without having to pay a licensing fee. It was developed by Microsoft, and allows you to take a virtual picture of the entire screen or only certain parts of it. Click and drag the mouse to select the part of the screen you want to capture. Snipping Tool will output this information to your clipboard or to a selected file. You can customise this program to suit your needs. It is compatible with Windows XP and Vista. If you have XP, you must download the program from the Microsoft website or a third-party site. It is not preinstalled in XP.
