Getting a tattoo is a lifetime commitment that should be carefully considered before it is done. Unfortunately, many people often regret the decision to get a tattoo and decide to remove it. Tattoo removal methods like lasers, excision and dermabrasion can be costly. However, using a salt abrasion technique you can save money on medical procedures with a few home ingredients for a tattoo removal.

Salt is the main ingredient used in home dermabrasion tattoo removal procedures. When you apply generous amounts of sea salt or ground table salt to wet flesh, it acts as an exfoliating agent removing several layers of surface skin. The salt is applied to thoroughly moistened skin over the tattooed area and a wet washcloth is used to vigorously rub the salt over the skin. Minor bleeding and stinging discomfort will likely occur.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is a common household item that can be used as a home tattoo removal ingredient. Tattooing and the removal of tattoos is ultimately the act of destroying skin cells and wounding the flesh and disinfecting the wounded area is essential to prevent infection. Because the natural cleaning agent assists in preventing and eliminating bacterias and fungi in the flesh, and breaks down into water and oxygen, hydrogen peroxide is ideal for washing freshly wounded skin.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is believed to promote faster healing of the skin and reduce the appearance of scar tissue. Secondarily, using vitamin E on fresh wounds may ease the pain of sore and inflamed tissue. Vitamin E oils, creams and liquids that are purchased over the counter at any chemist or supermarket are often used as a topical ointment in tattoo at-home tattoo removal to enhance the healing process, relieve pain and retard the development of scar tissue.
