Kenacomb is the trade name for an ointment that contains a combination of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory medicines and is used to treat skin infections. One ingredient, nystatin, is used to treat Candida fungi skin infections such as thrush or candidiasis. Symptoms of such infections include redness, itching, small blisters, skin cracking and scaling. These infections generally occur around the nails or between folds of skin. While application of this ointment is fairly simple, considerations such as any allergies, other medications you may be taking and other health conditions must be taken into account before using the ointment.

Wash hands thoroughly and apply a thin film of Kenacomb ointment to the affected area. Remember to follow the exact instructions of your doctor or pharmacist for best results.

Gently rub the ointment into the affected areas to increase the absorption rate. Do this two to three times daily. Apply the product at about the same times each day.

Wash your hands thoroughly after rubbing Kenacomb in. This helps to decrease the risk of spreading the infection to other areas of the body.

Use Kenocomb for as long as your doctor or pharmacist instructs. Chances of side effects may increase if you use the product longer than recommended. Tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or get worse.

Wear loosefitting clothing over areas to which the ointment has been applied.
