University of Warwick

In 2010, the Complete University Guide ranked the University of Warwick as number 1 in the U.K. for Accounting and Finance. Warwick Business School is in the top one per cent of the 3,900 business schools around the world. Its student population numbers more than 8,000 from 148 countries studying both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The business school also has 210 academic faculty members. For undergraduates looking to start a career in banking, finance, insurance or accountancy Warwick has a BSc in Accounting and Finance. The program focuses on accounting and financial management, economics, organizational behaviour and law. Postgraduate students can choose between Masters in Finance, Finance and Economics, and Financial Mathematics.

The London School of Economics and Political Science, or LSE, dates back to 1895 and specialises in Social Sciences. In 2010, the Complete University Guide ranked LSE second for Accounting and Finance. LSE offers undergraduate students a BSc in Accounting and Finance, which is a three-year degree program for those interested in pursuing a career in business, government or management consulting. Postgraduate students have the choice of three different programs including an MSc in Accounting and Finance, an MSc in Accounting, Organizations and Institutions, and a one-year Diploma in Accounting and Finance. With the MSc in Accounting and Finance, graduates can choose to specialise in Accounting and Financial Management, International Accounting and Finance, or Finance. The LSE designed the yearlong Diploma in Accounting and Finance for students with no previous financial background.

University of Bath

The School of Management at the University of Bath is a leading U.K. business school. According to the Complete University Guide 2010, the university offers the third best Accounting and Finance degrees in the U.K. The school was home to more than 2,100 students in 2010, of which 1,100 were studying undergraduate programs, 200 were studying for an MBA, while a further 370 were taking Master's programs. Undergraduates wanting to study finance at Bath can take the BSc in Accounting and Finance, which is either a three- or four-year program. The four-year program includes a yearlong placement at one of the 150 companies with which the school has links. An MSc in Accounting and Finance is also available for postgraduate students looking to start a career in finance. Prospective postgraduate students should already have a 2.1 Honors degree or an international equivalent.
