Graphic design is an integral part of our daily lives---traffic signs and symbols; advertising; the print design of magazines, newspapers, and books; Nike's swoosh; and website design, to name just a few. Many graphic designers earn a degree in graphic design or visual communication, learning theories as well as the technical skills needed to create quality, innovative designs.
