Bosch is a German company that offers technology solutions, including consumer appliances. The company offers three different types of dishwashers: visible control, concealed control and custom panel. Your dishwasher needs to fill with water to start the wash cycle. If your dishwasher tub is not filling, troubleshoot the issue to avoid paying for expensive service fees.

Water Supply

If your Bosch dishwasher isn't filling with water, verify that it is connected to the water supply and that the water inlet valve is turned on. Check your home's water pressure. Connect a water pressure gauge to the line, and see if it's at least 30 psi. If the water pressure is low, wait for the water pressure to return to normal, and shut off water in any other part of the home. If the water inlet valve is leaking or not turning easily, you must replace it. The inlet valve connects to the home and dishwasher hoses. Unscrew the valve from the mounting brackets, and remove the hoses to replace the unit.

If your hoses are bent or clogged, water either won't enter your tub at all, or water may trickle in. Straighten the hose if it's kinked, and clean the hoses and water filters if clogged with debris. If you see water leaking out of the hose, it may be split or punctured. Replace the inlet hose.

Your Bosch dishwasher may stop filling in the middle of the cycle. This usually indicates that you have experienced a power failure. Wait for the power to come back on, and restart the cycle. Verify that the dishwasher isn't unplugged. Reset your home's circuit breaker if tripped, or replace the fuses with new ones. Check the dishwasher wiring and door switch. Change out any wires that are black or corroded, and replace the door switch if defective.

Additional Issues

The float switch is located on the floor of the dishwasher. This switch is covered by a plastic cylinder, which moves up and down to let water into the dishwasher. If the switch is stuck in place, your tub won't fill. Push on the switch to release it if stuck, and remove any item or food blocking the component. If the switch won't move, you must get a new one. Verify that the previous wash cycle has ended. Alternatively, press "Cancel" to stop the current cycle. You may have set the delay-start mode. Cancel the delay-start cycle.
