Many girls dream of the day their prince will come. Use that inspiration to create a homemade Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs cake for an upcoming celebration, such as a child's birthday party. Decorate the cake with plastic figurines which double as party gifts while using creativity and imagination to make dreams come true.

Snow White's Cottage

Create a squared layer cake with cake mix and icing. Carve the cube into a house shape, ice the sides with white icing and the roof with brown icing, or use coloured fondant. Decorate the house with green floral stems and colourful buds, a brown door and windows. Arrange a set of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs figurines made from plastic to adorn the cottage cake. Create a wishing well with a piece of extra cake and decorate with grey icing.

Wishing Well

Bake three 8-inch circular cakes using your favourite store-bought cake mix and layer each with icing, creating a tall cylinder. Press long wooden skewers through all three cake layers to keep them together. Decorate the sides with grey icing rectangles for wishing well stones, and an inner circle on the top with black icing for the well portion. Use chocolate candy sticks pressed near opposite edges of the cake, and two icing-decorated graham crackers adhered to the candy sticks with icing, to create a wishing well roof.

Snow White Doll Cake

Confection supply companies create a product available at most craft stores, that allows cake-makers to construct free-standing, three-dimensional doll cakes. The cake moulds, when placed together, create a cone shape. Cut a tubular hole in the cake when vertically-oriented, and a Snow White doll may be inserted into the top, allowing the dress bottom to be comprised only of cake. Decorate the cake in yellow icing or by covering with a roll-out layer of bright yellow fondant for a three-dimensional Snow White cake.

Scenic Forest

Create a three-tiered cake from store-bought or homemade cake mixes. When cool, arrange the first and largest cake onto a display board. Ice the bottom tier white and gently centre the middle tier onto the first. Press wooden dowels through the middle cake into the bottom to keep it secure and ice the second tier with white icing. Repeat the steps to centre the top and smallest tier. Decorate the cake with piped green and brown trees, colourful flowers, stones and edible spray to create a scenic forest. Arrange plastic Snow White, Prince, Dwarfs and forest animal characters on the cake.
