As larger sized women are finally starting to be recognised within the fashion industry, fashionable plus size clothing in the UK has become easier to find. The London College of Fashion conducted a survey, which found the average dress size in the UK was 14 to 16. In February, London even hosted it's very first plus size fashion event. The two day show featured a really vibrant collection of plus size clothing, modelled by a diverse range of women.

The clothes range from sizes 14-32; making it one of the most diverse plus sized collections available. If you have quite large calves, you may struggle to find boots that properly fit over them. As well as clothing and swimwear, the company also provides footwear which addresses this problem. The only thing to keep in mind with this range is that it can be a little more expensive than high street collections.

New Look is one of the latest high street stores to introduce its own collection of plus size clothing. The Inspire range goes up to size 26 and it has exactly the same designs as the smaller sizes. The plus size clothing is designed to flatter your curves, not just hide them! This is one of the only plus size collections which targets the younger generation. If you want to stay on trend then this is definitely the best place to shop for your plus size wardrobe.
