Freshens yogurts and smoothies are made from real fruit and dairy products, and you can choose from several types of Freshens products to meet your nutritional needs. Freshens offers four distinct types of smoothies, each with a multitude of flavors. Freshens smoothies vary in nutritional value, and you can choose from low-fat, fat-free, high-protein and sugar-free varieties as well. Freshens smoothies are made without high-fructose corn syrup or trans fat.

Freshens smoothies range from 250 calories in the Strawberry Shooter flavor to 490 calories in the Citrus Mango. The Strawberry Shooter flavor contains just 1 calorie from fat, while the Citrus Mango flavor contains 61, according to the Freshens website. A Freshens smoothie represents about 13 to 25 percent of your daily caloric needs if you typically consume about 2,000 calories a day.

Fat and Cholesterol

The Caribbean Craze, Jamaican Jammer, Maui Mango, Peach Sunset, Strawberry Kiwi, Strawberry Shooter and Strawberry Squeeze all contain no fat or cholesterol. Other Freshens smoothies range from 3 g of fat in the Orange Sunrise flavor to 7 g in the Citrus Mango. Saturated fat and content spans from 1.5 to 4.5 g in the Orange Sunrise and Citrus Mango flavors, and both contain 10 milligrams of cholesterol.

Sugar and Carbohydrates

Freshens smoothies contain between 64 and 108 g of carbohydrates, and 59 to 90 g of sugar. Most adults need about 225 to 325 g of carbohydrates each day, so a Freshens smoothie amounts to about 20 to 50 percent the body's daily needs for this nutrient. Excessive amounts of sugar can result in weight gain and cardiovascular problems, and the American Heart Association recommends consuming less than 37.5 and 25 g for men and women of this specific type of carbohydrate each day, respectively.

Most Freshens smoothies contain 1 to 3 g of protein, although the Strawberry Squeeze and Jamaican Jammer flavors contain 11 and 12 g, respectively. Adults who consume a typical 2,000-calorie diet need at least 50 g of protein each day, so these two high-protein flavors account for about 22 to 24 percent the body's daily need for this nutrient. The Tropical Pineapple, Strawberry Kiwi and Strawberry Shooter flavors do not contain protein.

Minerals and Vitamins

Freshens smoothies offer a rich source of vitamins and minerals. All flavors contain more than 100 mg of potassium, and the Jamaican Jammer flavor contains more than 700 mg of this mineral. Most Freshens smoothies provide a high dose of calcium and a moderate amount of iron. All Freshens smoothies contain near, or more than, the daily values for vitamins A, C, D and E. Freshens smoothies also provide a moderate amount of B-vitamins, including thiamine, niacin and riboflavin.
