Autodesk 3DS Max and Maxon Cinema 4D are two of the most widely used 3-D applications on the market. While they are competitors, it's often the case that someone might need to open 3DS Max files in Cinema 4D. You can't open 3DS Max files directly in Cinema 4D. For this reason, it's necessary to first convert your files in 3DS Max to a format that Cinema 4D can import.
