A V2I file, or Virtual Volume Image file, is a backup of a disk or partition created with the Symantec Norton Ghost application. The V2I image file is an exact copy of the drive or partition. Using the Symantec Norton Ghost Recovery program, the V2I file may be mounted and read as a new volume, or the data may be restored to another drive or partition.
