The Toshiba TN50X81 rear projection television has a 50-inch screen, progressive scan, 3-D digital comb filter and Colorstream Pro and DTV interface. Rear-projection sets use a series of lenses and mirrors to project an image onto the back of the screen. Projection TVs offer a good picture on a large screen. However, they're subject to their own sets of problems, as they have many moving parts that work together to create the picture, and if any one malfunctions the TV ceases to function properly.

Unplug your television. Leave it unplugged for about an hour. This could reset the television and clear up the power problem.
Tighten all cable connections to and from the TV. If the television is plugged into a power strip, look at the power strip lights to make sure it's on and grounded. Plug the television directly into a wall outlet to rule out a malfunctioning power strip.
Call Toshiba at 800-631-3811 or visit the Toshiba (toshiba.com) website to find the nearest service centre. If the connections are good and the television didn't reset, the blinking light may indicate a malfunctioning power supply. A service technician must fix this.
