How to Clean With Pine-Sol

Pine-Sol is a cleaner that is made from a combination of cleaning surfactants and pine oil that can be used to clean and disinfect a variety of household surfaces. In addition to the original pine scent, Pine-Sol comes in an assortment of scents, including lavender, lemon, outdoor fresh, sparkling wave and garden fresh. Pine-Sol products can be purchased at grocery stores, superstores and drugstores throughout the country.

Instructions

    Hard Surfaces

    Pour 1/4 cup of Pine-Sol into a gallon of water. This solution can be used to clean all of the hard surfaces found throughout a home, such as appliances, countertops, wood surfaces, cement surfaces, linoleum and tile flooring. Wash these surfaces using a mop, sponge or brush by dipping in the bucket of solution and wiping the desired area.

    Pour 1/2 cup Pine-Sol directly into the toilet bowl and let soak for a few minutes. Swoosh the solution around the bowl using a sponge, toilet brush or cloth. Flush toilet when done.

    Wipe down dustbins using undiluted Pine-Sol on a sponge. Wipe down the inside and outside of the dustbin to keep it smelling fresh and clean. When done, rinse with clean water.

    Fabric and Carpet

    Dip a rag in Pine-Sol and rub directly on spots found on clothing. Let sit for approximately 30 minutes and then wash. When washing laundry add 1/2 cup of Pine-Sol to washing machine with regular detergent.

    Apply Pine-Sol to clean spots left on carpets. Use a sponge or clean cloth to dip in Pine-Sol and rub over spot. Let sit for approximately 30 minutes. Use a clean sponge to rub away Pine-Sol with clean water. Let dry and vacuum area.

    Add 1/2 cup of Pine-Sol to rug cleaning machines with carpet cleaner and water. Shampoo carpets as directed and let dry.
