Pamper yourself or a loved one with a homemade moisturising massage bar. You can use a massage bar to moisturise your skin, the same way you'd use a traditional lotion. Instead of applying liquid lotion from a bottle, simply rub the massage bar over your arms and legs and massage the rich emollients into your skin. Using a handmade moisturising bar will leave your skin soft and smooth. As a treat, give the bars to friends and family members as luxurious holiday and birthday gifts.

Instructions

  1. 1

Warm water in a double boiler over low heat.

  2. 2

Place 28.4gr of shea or cocoa butter, 28.4gr of beeswax, 28.4gr of avocado or sweet almond oil and 1/2 tsp of jojoba oil in the top of the double boiler and stir the ingredients to blend.

  3. 3

Add a few drops of your favourite essential oil, such as lavender or sweet orange, depending on how strong you want the fragrance to be.

  4. 4

Pour the mixture into a silicone mould. Use a shape that reflects a specific holiday or occasion, such as a heart, for a Valentine's Day gift.

  5. 5

Allow the bar to cool to room temperature, or place it into a refrigerator for an hour to chill quickly. Pop the moisturising bar out of the mould and enjoy.
