For many bakers, the presentation of baked goods is as important as the taste. Cakes in particular have the ability to be made aesthetically pleasing. Cake boards can help you place your cake onto a presentation platform worthy of all of your hard work. These sturdy boards are cut to the same size as your cake pan or slightly larger. Moving your cake from a cake pan to a cake board is a reasonably easy process.

    Allow your cake to cool thoroughly according to your recipe.

    Pry your cake from the sides of the pan gently with the blade of a sharp kitchen knife. Move all the way around the pan to ensure that no cake is clinging to the pan.

    Hold your cake board against the open side of the pan and then flip the pan upside down to release the cake. Shake the pan slightly or tap on it to free stubborn portions of the cake that continue to cling.
