Fancy numbers can be used to add a sophisticated touch to invitations, letterheads or any other typographic material. These numbers can also be used as a part of website images or as a personal font preference in many word processing programs. Fancy numbers are often included as part of ornate decorative font packs, many of which can be downloaded free. To create these fancy numbers, you must have these fonts installed on your computer.

Download the fancy number font of your choice from a reputable font website (see Resources). Save the compressed file containing the font onto your desktop or other desired location.
Click the "Start" icon in the taskbar. Click "Control Panel," and then select "Fonts."
Extract the font files from the compressed file. Drag and drop the files into the Fonts window. Windows proceeds to install the font to the computer.
Open your desired word processing or image editing program in Windows. Locate and select the fancy font from the font selection box. Type any number into the program to create the desired fancy numbers.
