No computer knows how to play FID video files. This, in fact, is the point of the file. FID is a decoy extension, a trick use by some streaming video sites to confuse users who download the videos using a browser plugin or online converter. Luckily, there is an easy solution. Restore the "FID" file to its true extension, and your computer will recognise it.

Right click the FID file.
Change "fid" to "flv," the true extension. For instance, Video.fid would become Video.flv.
Click elsewhere on the screen to save.
Double click the file. It will now open automatically in Windows Media Player, which can play FLV files.
