There's regular television and then there's Apple TV. The Apple TV receiver is a device that allows users to display digital content on their high definition television set. That means you can access Internet media such as Netflix and your iTunes library. But all of Apple TV's bells and whistles won't be of much use if your television is set to an improper resolution. The wrong resolution set on your screen may distort images or fail to display them at all. If you use Apple TV and need to change your resolution settings, you can do so using your Apple remote.
