How to Turn the Wireless Capability On and Off for an Acer Aspire One Laptop

Updated February 21, 2017

Acer Aspire One laptop computers were released in 2008 for home use. As with most laptops, the Acer Aspire One has wireless capabilities, meaning it can connect to the Internet without connecting the computer to the modem with an Ethernet cable, provided the computer is in the range of a wireless router. You can turn the wireless functionality on and off via a built-in control switch.

Locate the Acer Aspire One wireless switch. The wireless switch is grooved and is found on the front and right of the computer. It is the only switch on the front of the laptop.

Push the switch to the right to turn on the wireless. The wireless indicator light above the switch will turn on and glow orange, indicating the wireless function is on.

Press the wireless switch to the left to turn off the wireless. The orange indicator light will turn off, indicating the wireless function is off.
