The Punto is a super mini vehicle produced by Fiat since 1993. Every Fiat comes equipped with a stock radio. If you wish to install a replacement stereo, or simply modify the stock stereo, you will need to remove it from the Punto. The Punto stereo is held in by four clips that can be removed using an Allen wrench. When the clips are removed, you can disconnect the stereo wiring connector and remove it from the vehicle. At this point, you can then install a replacement stereo.
Open the Punto bonnet and use a socket wrench to disconnect the negative terminal cable from the battery.
Insert an Allen wrench into the four holes on the front of the stereo. Make sure you press the wrench in all the way until you hear a click.
Pull the stereo out of the Punto after all four clips have been released. Disconnect the stereo wiring connector at the rear.
Remove the stereo from the Punto. Place the new stereo into the Punto.
Reattach the wiring connector to secure the stereo into the Punto. Press the stereo into the vehicle to make sure it "clicks" into place. This will ensure that the clips are secured.
Reconnect the battery and close the bonnet.
If you do not have an Allen wrench, you can use any sort of long, thin tool, such as a small Phillips-head screwdriver.
