Using a computer to play console video games is made possible through the use of gaming emulators. The Sony PlayStation 2 emulator, PCSX2, has made it possible to play the PS2 games that you purchase through Sony, or at a retail store, directly from your computer. Configuring your keyboard to use as a controller can be done using one of the main controller plugins available for the PCSX2, but you can use alternative plugins. The Lilypad plugin is available to install on PCSX2 and works with keyboards, mice and gamepads.
Download the Lilypad plugin that you want to install into PCSX2 if you have not already. Single-click the "Start" button on the desktop.
Single-click the "Computer" link on the menu that comes up. Double-click the "C:" drive and the "Program files" link.
Double-click the "PCSX2 0.9.8" folder that is in the "Program files" folder. Double-click the "Plugins" folder you find inside the "PCSX2 0.9.8" folder.
Drag the Lilypad ".dll" file into the plugins folder and start the PCSX2 program on the computer. Click the "Config" button on the topline menu. Click the "Configuration" button on the context menu that comes up.
Click the "First Controller" button on the main configuration page and click the "Lilypad 0.9.9" option from the list that is displayed. PCSX2 is now using the Lilypad controller plugin to play PS2 games on the computer.
