How to Change the PS3 Video to 50 Hertz

If you have a television set with a 50 hertz refresh rate you're going to want to make sure your PlayStation 3 is configured to take advantage of this. Adjusting the video output settings on your PlayStation 3 to match your television set will help make sure that your games and movies look as good as possible, and that you're seeing content the way it was originally intended by its developers.

Turn on your PlayStation 3.

Open "Settings."

Select "Video Settings."

Scroll down to the "50 Hz Video Output" option. Press "X" to open it.

Highlight the option reading "50 Hz" and press "X" to change the PlayStation 3 video output settings to match your 50 Hz requirement.
