Flickr is a social photo sharing site that helps you share your photos with the world and connect with other photographers. When you first sign up for Flickr, you're given a long, complicated-looking URL for your Flickr profile page. You can replace this URL with a custom vanity URL that is much easier to remember and much easier on the eyes. In just a few steps, you can learn how to set up a vanity URL for Flickr.

Instructions

  1. 1

Visit the "Your Flickr Web Address" page on the Flickr website at flickr.com/profile_url.gne.

  2. 2

Sign in using your Flickr username and password.

  3. 3

Type your preferred username into the text box in the "Choose your alias" section, then click "Preview." If the username is already taken, you'll receive a message that says "Sorry, that alias is already taken. Please try again."

Check your custom URL one more time to make sure it's what you want, then click the "OK, LOCK IT IN" button to save the change. Your Flickr profile page is now located at flickr.com/photos/yourcustomurl, where "yourcustomurl" is the vanity URL you chose.
