How to Download Pictures from Shutterfly to My Computer

Updated April 17, 2017

One of the features that distinguishes Shutterfly from other online photo-sharing websites is the ability to create password-secure photo albums that your friends and family can download. Shutterfly lets users set their own download preferences, which means you won't be able to download photos if the user hasn't allowed it. In order to view albums on Shutterfly and download pictures, you must have a Shutterfly account.

Navigate to Shutterfly.com, and log in to your account. If you don't have an account with Shutterfly, click the "Sign Up" button to create a free account.

Locate the picture you want to download. If you want to download pictures from a shared site, click the "Share" tab to see the list of sites to which you belong.

Hold your mouse over the picture until you see a small grey arrow. This works on both image thumbnails in photo albums and the actual image page. Hold your mouse over the arrow to view the drop-down menu.

Select "Download this picture" from the drop-down menu. Choose a location to save your picture on your computer.
