Maiandra GD is inspired by the hand-lettered type of Oswald Bruce Cooper, which dates back to 1909. It is available from multiple font websites as a free download. The font will download as a ZIP (compressed) file. Depending on your computer platform, you may need to take a few more steps to extract the file, which is the process of converting it to the TTF (True Type Font) format. Once it is converted to TTF, your computer will be able to read it as a font file.

Type "Maiandra font" (in quotes) in the search engine of your choice. Scroll through the available options and choose a website that provides the font in your computer's format (Mac or PC). Navigate to the website.
Locate the "Download" button on the specific webpage for the Maiandra GD font. A dialogue box will open, asking whether you would like to download the font as a ZIP file.
Save the file to the Desktop, rather than opening it.
Right-click the ZIP file if you are using a PC. Select "Extract All" and the Compressed Folders Extraction Wizard will appear. Click "Next" twice and an identically-named uncompressed folder will be created on your Desktop. Click "Finish."
Click "Start > Settings > Control Panel > Fonts" on Windows XP, or "Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Fonts" on Windows 7 or Vista. Click "File > Install New Font." The Add Fonts dialogue box will appear.
Select the unzipped Maiandra GD folder from the Desktop folder in the drop-down menu in the lower-left corner. The Desktop folder is usually found by clicking "C: > Documents and Settings > Owner > Desktop." Click the name of the Maiandra GD font, which appears in the List of Fonts window above. Click "OK." The Install Font Progress window pops up momentarily, installing Maiandra GD on your Windows computer.
Double-click the ZIP file if you are using a Mac. This will instantly create an uncompressed folder on the Desktop with the same name as the ZIP file.
Open the uncompressed folder and double-click the TTF file. A dialogue box appears.
Click "Install Font" in the lower-right corner and Maiandra GD will install on your Mac computer.
