When you enjoy scenting your interior spaces with candles, shopping at Yankee Candle may provide you with the candle items you desire. The decorator designs and seasonal items that the Yankee Candle Company releases each season draw the attention of candle enthusiasts. Yankee "Tarts," small potpourri wax discs, melt readily in special wax candle burners. Choose between an electric burner and one that uses a tiny tea light candle to melt the wax and you will soon be filling your rooms with enjoyable aromas.

Instructions

    Wax Potpourri Warmer

  1. 1

Place the potpourri warmer in a level location away from drafts.

  2. 2

Unwrap the wax Tart and place it directly into the top of the potpourri warmer. Do not add any water to the Tart as it burns.

  3. 3

Place the tea light into the receptacle beneath the Tart holder.

  4. 4

Light the tea light with a lighter or match.

  5. 5

Monitor the wax warmer continually as the Tart begins to melt. Do not melt Tarts unattended. The Tart will release a scent for up to eight hours.

  6. 6

Replace the tea light after about one hour if you wish to melt the Tart for longer. The tea light will extinguish after about this length of time.

  7. 7

Extinguish the tea light and allow the Tart to harden when you finish melting it. Leave the hard Tart in the wax warmer for another melting if it still contains a scent. Alternatively, loosen the hardened Tart around the edges of the wax warmer and you can then lift it out easily. Throw away the Tart if it no longer releases a scent.

    Electric Wax Potpourri Warmer

  1. 1

Place the electric wax warmer in a level location near an outlet. Plug the wax warmer into the electrical socket.

  2. 2

Unwrap the Tart and place it directly into the top of the potpourri burner. Do not add any water to the Tart as it burns.

  3. 3

Monitor the wax warmer continually as the Tart begins to melt. Do not melt Tarts unattended. The Tart will release a scent for up to eight hours.

  4. 4

Unplug the wax warmer when you wish to stop melting the Tart. The Tart will harden as it returns to room temperature.

  5. 5

Plug the wax warmer back in again if you wish to melt the same Tart again at another time.

  6. 6

Remove the Tart after it hardens and throw it away it if it no longer releases a scent.

Tips and warnings

  • Unwrap two different Tarts and break each in half. Try melting half of each Tart together to create a special combination of scents.
  • The Yankee Candle Company recommends using only unscented tea lights to melt Tarts because using a scented tea light may conflict with the Tart aroma.
  • Keep pets and children away from the potpourri warmer as the tea light burns.
  • Never use any type of candle other than a metal cup tea light in a wax warmer. These tea lights are the ideal size for melting the Tarts without creating a dangerous melting situation.
