How to Use Bubble Bath in Jacuzzi Whirlpools

Updated February 21, 2017

A jacuzzi whirlpool tub gives you a relaxing bath experience, and adding bubble bath can enhance the enjoyment of your bathing experience. Using bubble bath can be tricky, however, as too much will cause excessive suds that accumulate quickly and in some cases overflow the tub. By using the bubble bath properly and cleaning after each use, you will safely enjoy the bath experience without harming the jacuzzi unit.

Fill the jacuzzi whirlpool with your desired water temperature.

Pour in a capful or 1 tbsp of a low-sudsing bubble bath. Alternately, add in 1 tbsp of aromatherapy bath oil if you're looking for a relaxing scent instead of the soap suds.

Turn on your jets and enjoy the bath experience. Drain the tub after using.

Refill your tub with plain hot water and pour in 1/4 cup of dishwasher detergent. Run the jets at high speed for 15 minutes and drain. The dishwasher detergent will safely dissolve any leftover bubble bath or essential oil without harming your jacuzzi whirlpool.

Things You'll Need

  • Low-sudsing bubble bath or aromatherapy oils
  • Dishwasher detergent
